ENHANCE - The Social Side of Esports

ENHANCE- The Social Side of Esports is an Erasmus + research project with the goal of understanding toxic behaviours among young esports athletes and educating both them and their parents, coaches and other professionals about toxicity in gaming. ENHANCE's consortium is composed of renowned universities from Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, and Belgium giving it an international outlook to the phenomenon. The main goals of the project are to understand and categorize toxic behaviours in esports, assess the prevalence of each and build Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC) for esports athletes. A manual of best practices will be developed for adults who work closely with young esports athletes. In tandem with LAENOG, LAENOG will also contribute to creating the Esports Social Observatory.
